COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Earnest Ross scored a career-high 21 points last night as No. 22 Missouri erased a 13-point second-half deficit to beat South Carolina 71-65. Jabari Brown added 17 points for the Tigers, who are 11-0 at home this season. Brenton Williams had 16 points for the Gamecocks.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Reliever Jason Motte has agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. The deal announced yesterday avoided salary arbitration. Motte had a career-high 42 saves in 49 chances last year.
