Marshall, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Lady Viking volleyball team hosted Benedictine College Tuesday night for a Heart of America Athletic Conference match. In three straight sets the lady Vikings won 25-22, 25-21 and 25-22. All three wins were come from behind victories, moving the lady Vikings closer to qualifying for the HAAC Tournament with just one match remaining. That match will be Senior Night on Thursday as Lindenwood-Belleville University comes to town.  Game time is set for 7 o’clock at the Burns Athletic Complex.

LONDON (AP) — The St. Louis Rams arrived in London yesterday ahead of this weekend’s game against the New England Patriots. The Rams also performed drills yesterday with local school children to show off the American version of football. Quarterback Sam Bradford hopes the jet lag and time difference won’t be a factor on Sunday.

DALLAS (AP) — The mother of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has died. The team says Arminta Jones died yesterday morning at the age of 90. She lived in Rogersville, Mo. The Cowboys say Arminta Jones was a “great ambassador for our organization.”

ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis Cardinals players emptied out their lockers yesterday after being eliminated from the playoffs on Monday. It may be the final time for 16-game winner Kyle Lohse, who enters free agency this offseason. The Cardinals blew a 3-1 series lead to the San Francisco Giants.
