High School Football

Tonight there’s High School football with the Knob Noster Panthers traveling to Higginsville to take on the Lafayette County Huskers in the semi-final round of the class 2 district 7 tournament. Kick-off is set for 7 o’clock and will be broadcast on sister station 103.9 KRLI or online at 103 9 the grenade dot com; pre-game set for 6:45. Knob Noster comes into the contest at 5-5 on the season, the Huskers are number 1 in the state for Class 2 with an undefeated record of 10-0.





KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel will start tomorrow night’s game at San Diego. Coach Romeo Crennel says doctors have not cleared Brady Quinn to practice after he took a blow to the head last weekend against Oakland. The Chiefs have lost four straight games.




ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Rams say running back Steven Jackson isn’t being traded. Coach Jeff Fisher says the Rams aren’t shopping Jackson and the team hasn’t been getting calls about him. Jackson entered the season with a franchise-record seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.





UNDATED (AP) — St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina has won a Gold Glove for the fifth time in his career. The awards for fielding excellence were presented yesterday by Rawlings. Nine players took home Gold Gloves for the first time this year.
