Sprofera Jury Trial Reset

An Odessa man was scheduled to go on trial in Clay County on Monday, but a motion for a continuance has delayed the proceedings.  Joseph Sprofera, 46, appeared in court on Friday for a pre-trial conference at which time his request for more time was granted.   He has been twice convicted of statutory sodomy.  Sprofera is facing a third trial on four counts of statutory sodomy.   He is expected back in court Mar. 13 for a motion hearing.  A pre-trial conference is being held on Apr. 11.  The jury trial is slated to start the following day.
