St. Joseph gang member found guilty

ST. JOSEPH, MO – One member of what is described as a violent gang in federal documents, pleaded guilty in federal court Friday.

An attorney with the Western Missouri District DOJ said Luis Calderon-Oliveras, 27, of St. Joseph, pleaded guilty to assault and attempted murder September 2012. The gang trafficked in heroin, cocaine, crack, meth, and marijuana. Under the terms of a plea agreement, Calderon-Oliveras will be sentenced to 10 years in federal prison without parole.
