St. Joseph Man Injured in Crash

A wild animal caused an accident Buchanan County Sunday morning. Reports indicate Rupert James, 30, of St. Joseph was heading north on I-229 at Highway 752 when he struck a raccoon, ran off the road and struck a guardrail. James was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
