A Moberly man who authorities say was severely wounded during an altercation with three unidentified males is recovering.  Chief Russell Tarr released very few details about the suspects.  “We have had some leads that we have followed up on, but because of the sensitive nature of the investigation I can’t comment any further,” Tarr said.  “We have not been able to speak with the victim yet.  We anticipate that the victim will be released, if he hasn’t already, in the near future.  As soon as we can speak with him we should have more information.”

The stabbing occurred last Saturday (Apr. 13) in the one hundred block of South Ault Street.  The victim, a 23-year-old Moberly man, managed to make his way to Moberly Regional Hospital.  His injuries were so severe that he had to be transported to a medical center in Columbia.  Tarr is asking anyone with information to come forward.
