The Staff for Life Helicopter Service showed off their newest addition at Carroll County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday. Click to hear KMZU’s Mandy Young speak with Flight Paramedic Jim Saylor:
Sailor said the larger aircraft allows them to access the patient from head to toe. “We have great access for the patient care in here,” said Saylor, “Plus we’re going to able to set our patients straight up if the need to be set up, we’ll be able to lie them where their feet are down and their head’s up, or head down feet up. We’ll be able to get all the equipment that we want in this airccraft. And the liftoff capability in this aircraft is large, so we’re able to take most anybody.”
The new helicopter is not yet in service, but they hope to have it in use by the end of the month.
