“We always have quite a mix of things going on at the fair and obviously our focus is on the livestock, exhibits, and the ag side of things,” Wolfe stated. “We have a great concert lineup put together this year. We have a lot of free entertainment coming in this year, some new some old. We’ve got things like the pig race, which you can’t have the State Fair without. We have a lot of stuff going on with that, and we are getting close to the deadline for entry forms and things like that.”

The fair will begin on August 8th and run through August 18th at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. The livestock campgrounds will open four days before the fair officially begins, on the 4th of August.

“The four acts that have been on sale for a while include Chris Cagle on opening night,” Wolfe added. “Gary Allen and Randy Houser on the first Saturday, August 10th. We have the Oak Ridge Boys 40th Anniversary Tour on sale for Wednesday, August 14th, and then we have one of our bigger names on August 16th with Toby Keith.”
