STING Unit Makes Drug Bust

A search of the residence, located in the 1800 block of S. Prospect, yielded one and a half pounds of marijuana, packaging supplies, a digital scale, and a hand gun.  One suspect suspect is still at large.  This person  faces charges of distribution of a controlled substance near a school, manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment.

Andrea Higginbotham, 33, was arrested at the scene.  She is facing one charge of child endangerment.

One 05/14/2013 at approximately 0445 hrs. the Sedalia Police Department STING unit, other officers, and a Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputy served a search warrant at 1804 S. Prospect.  Upon arrival officers secured the residence and the occupants.  A search of the residence reveased approximately 1 1/2 pounds of Marijuana, Marijuana packaging supplies, digital scales, and a handgun.

One suspect is still at large, but charges will include Distribution of a Controlled Substance near a school, Manurfacturing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a ControlledSubstance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Endangerment.

The other suspect was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
