A traffic stop by the Marshall Police Department over the weekend led Saline County Sheriff’s Deputies to a Sweet Springs residence and the location of a stolen vehicle. According to reports 48-year-old Teresa Holt was driving a 1997 F-150 with plates that were listed as stolen. During the investigation officers followed Holt back to her residence to make contact with 46-year-old George Holt, her husband. While the woman tried to contact her husband officers were given permission to search the property where they found a white 2004 GMC. After investigating the VIN number the GMC came back stolen and the plates discovered on the F-150 were registered to the GMC. Both Teresa and George Holt were arrested for vehicle tampering and placed on 24-hour hold for investigation pending formal charges.
