Students Try Political Process

Several students aided with the mock election, and they will have the opportunity to help out at the polling stations on November 6th.  A total of nine candidates spoke at the forum.  Those include:

  • U.S. Representative in the 6th District:
    • Kyle Yarber, Democrat
    • Russ Lee Monchil, Libertarian
  • State Senator in the 21st District:
    • Elgene Verdught, Democrat
    • David Pearce, Republican
  • State Representative in the 39th District
    • Will Talbert, Democrat
    • Joe Don McGaugh, Republican
  • County Commissioner, District 1
    • Jim Stewart, Democrat
    • William E. (Bil) Boelson, Republican
  • Collector Treasurer
    • Alta M. O’Neal
