Subject of Kirksville manhunt located

UPDATE, Sep 7 – A Green City man arrested Thursday had been the subject of two manhunts in Adair County, and Sullivan County.

A felony case out of Adair County accuses Troy Franklin, 35, of resisting or interfering with arrest for a felony. Franklin was arrested Thursday afternoon by Highway Patrol on that charge, after evading law enforcement on two occasions. Probation violation for original charges of assault on law enforcement was also listed in charges.

He was taken to Adair County Jail after his arrest in Sullivan County. 

KIRKSVILLE, MO – The identity of the subject involved in a five-hour manhunt Thursday, July 12, near Kirksville was released by Highway Patrol.

Several law enforcement agencies are attempting to locate Troy Franklin, 34, who is wanted for parole violation related to original charges of assault on law enforcement. The search yesterday was terminated around 3:30 p.m. in a wooded area west of Kirksville. State troopers also said this was not the first time Franklin had fled from law enforcement attempting an arrest.

Adair County authorities also have in custody Ashley Christman, 21, who is suspected of hindering prosecution in relation to the Franklin investigation.
