A controversial court case is being tried in the United States Supreme Court regarding the Affordable Care Act. According to bill supporters, the court’s decision could potentially leave Americans without health insurance because of four words stated in the law.

Principal of Wilson & Associates Eric Wilson, says insurance would not be cancelled for citizens, but could become to unaffordable.

Wilson says the suit was filed following the adoption of the law. He says some confusion was caused by how the bill was written.

The law, also known as Obamacare, has provided open enrollment and guarenteed coverage to Americans with pre-existing conditions or who would otherwise be unable to afford health insurance.

Wilson says there are several possibilities pending the outcome of the case.

Wilson says the Affordable Care Act, like insurance decisions before it, should be left to the states.

The Supreme Court will rule on the King v. Burwell case in June.
