O’Connor said they are in the process of obtaining permits for the route, which will run alongside an existing pipeline. They have had crews out over the summer. “Additionally, we’ve had individuals out there who have been working with the various county organizations, the counties, to obtain construction permits, and road crossing permits, and levee crossings, and those sorts of things,” said O’Conner. Enbridge expects to start construction in mid-2013.
