Suspect Killed in Shootout Identified

A 57-year-old man was killed in a confrontation with Warrensburg police this last Thursday night.  Officers were serving a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of 9th Street Terrace.  Highway Patrol Sergeant Collin Stosberg says the warrant were for suspected narcotics, narcotics paraphernalia, and firearms. When the team entered the home the suspect opened fire with a shotgun. One officer on the S.E.R.T. team returned fire killing the suspect. He is now identified as, Beau Appleton, his identity was released this (Sun.) morning by the Warrensburg Police Department  who have requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigate the officer involved shooting that is on-going.
