Suspect enters not guilty plea for drug and weapons charges

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Mo. — A Milan man entered a not guilty plea and asked for a public defender at an initial arraignment in Sullivan County Wednesday morning.

Travis Von Shaw, 47, was ordered to appear again on the morning of May 24, 2018 for a counsel status hearing. Shaw is facing felony allegations of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and driving while revoked or suspended.

Shaw was arrested after being stopped on Friday, May 11, 2018 for driving with expired license plates.

He remains jailed at the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail on $25,000 bond.
