Suspect being sought in connection with death of Sedalia woman

SEDALIA, MO – The Pettis County Prosecutor has obtained a warrant for the arrest of a possible suspect in the death of a Sedalia woman.

Sedalia Police and emergency personnel were called to an apartment in the 400 block of East 7th Street Sunday, January 14, after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. When officers arrived, the victim, identified as Heather M. McClellan, 34, of Sedalia, was found with life-threatening injuries. She died after being transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center. The warrant for Murder in the 2nd Degree, was issued for Justin K. Lewis, 28.  Also listed are charges of Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of Lewis, aka ‘Country’, are asked to call the nearest Law Enforcement Agency. Pettis County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000.00 for any information that leads to the arrest of Justin K. Lewis.
