Suspect thought to be responsible for stabbings caught in Boone County

UPDATE: (12/15/17, 2:00 a.m.)Moberly Police say a search for the suspect in a Wednesday night double stabbing is over. In a press release Thursday night, authorities say 31 year old Manquail Leray Williams of Moberly, was taken into custody in Boone County without incident. The manhunt began just after 10:30 Wednesday night, when Williams ex-girlfriend called to report that he had tried to cut her throat after breaking into her residence. A short time later, police were called to Moberly Regional Medical Center, when a male victim was being treated for a stab in the abdomen. Williams is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond for first degree domestic assault and first degree assault.

MOBERLY, MO – Moberly officers are seeking a suspect thought to be involved in stabbing incidents Wednesday.

A female victim reported to police that the suspect broke into her residence and attempted to cut her throat. Another stab victim who had been hospitalized, received wounds to the abdomen. Police are searching for a 31-year-old black male, Monquail Leray Williams, who is described as 6’2″, 242 lbs. Formal charges filed by Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney, include class A felonies, 1st degree domestic assault, and 1st degree assault. Police believe Williams to be armed and dangerous, and was last seen in a blue pickup in the Moberly area.
