A 29-year-old man has been sentenced on three felony charges. Matthew Cloyd of Sweet Springs plead guilty Monday to burglary, stealing, and armed criminal action. Cloyd was arrested in September of last year after allegedly breaking into a home in the 2100 block of West 11th Street and stabbing a female resident twice in the arm. A Cooper County judge has ordered Cloyd to serve 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
