Sweet Springs Mayor Resigns

The five-year term of Raymond Kinney will draw to a close on June 28th. ¬†Kinney submitted his resignation from the Mayor’s position at Monday’s meeting. ¬†At that meeting, the Board of Aldermen approved a proclamation naming June 28th “Raymond Kinney Day.”

Kinney will be moving outside of Sweet Springs in order to spend more time with his family.

Once Kinney’s term ends, Alderman Tommy Goode will serve as interim mayor.
