Tax Rates in Trenton Remain Unchanged

“It’s just going to be a hearing the Council has to go through to pass the tax rate,” Simpson said. “We will have an ordinance Monday night on the Council meeting to go ahead and pass it. It is the exact same rate as last year. The general fund is .8794 and the park is .1624 and it will bring in approximately the same revenue as what we have had before.”

Simpson said the revenues have increased as well.

“The budgeted revenues for 2013 in the park fund is $84,500 and for the general fund it is budgeted at $462,000,” added Simpson.

The meeting will take place at City Hall in Trenton at 7:00 on Monday evening.
