Teen injured when car hits tree in Pettis County

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Sedalia teenager was hospitalized by a one vehicle crash in Pettis County, just before 6:00 p.m., Wednesday afternoon.

The crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol says Phoenix Painter-Torres, 19, failed to negotiate a curve on Forest Park Road, South of Covered Bridge Road. His car went of the southbound lane and struck a tree.

Painter-Torres was transported to University Hospital with moderate injuries.
