Teenager suffers extensive injuries after colliding with a tree in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Mo.- A New Hampton, Mo., teenager is in critical condition following a collision in Harrison County earlier this morning.

Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, and Bethany Police Department responded to South Street just west of Bethany, Mo., at approximately 8:05 a.m. According to the filed accident report, Isaiah Floress, 17, was traveling eastbound on South Street when he failed to negotiate a right hand turn and traveled off the north side of the road before striking a tree.

Floress was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and suffered serious injuries as a result. He was transported by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital then transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for more extensive treatment.
