The Dollar General in Boonville was robbed Friday night.

BOONVILLE, Mo. –¬†Two men are being held in Cooper County, accused of robbing the Dollar General Store in Boonville Friday.

Boonville Police were called to the business on West Ashley Road, just after 9:00 p.m. Friday night. Victims told police that a black male subject walked into the store and brandished a firearm. The suspect demanded cash before leaving the store on foot. A Cooper County deputy stopped a vehicle near Main Street and Logan’s Lake Road a short time later and found evidence from the robbery in the vehicle.

Desimond L. Fields, 43, of South Carolina and Dwayne T. Rivers, 35, of North Carolina are being held pending the filing of formal charges.
