Theopolis Johnson Back in Court Feb. 15th

A Carrollton man, charged with statutory rape and murder was in Carroll County Court Tuesday morning.

Theopolis Johnson II, 43, is accused of killing Kayla Cowan and her mother Kristen Howery at a rural Carroll County home in October of 2011. Johnson appeared in court without council; however there was a motion by the defense for a continuance which was granted. Johnson will next appear in court February 15th at 9 a.m. He faces two counts of rape and two counts of first-degree murder.

Johnson’s bond is set at $1 million; he maintained his plea of not-guilty.
