Three Fatal Crashes on Missouri Roads

The first one was in the early morning hours on the 27th in Randolph County. According to the Highway Patrol Christopher Opre, 22, of Manchester was heading south on County Road 2650 south of Renick when he went off the road, hit a fence and then his vehicle caught fire. Opre was unable to exit the car and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The next was on Friday at about noon in Johnson County. Reports indicate Victoria Woodworth, 20, of Knob Noster was heading north on Highway 23 at 250th Road when her vehicle ran off the roadway, flipped and then struck a tree. Woodworth was pronounced dead on the scene.

The last one was Friday afternoon at around 2 in Sullivan County. According to reportsĀ  Scott Popeko, 45, of Milan was heading west on Highway 6 west of Green City when he crossed the center line and hitĀ  Angela Lang, 27, of Iowa head on. Popeko had minor injuries and was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital. Lang suffered moderate injuries and she was taken to Northeast Regional Hospital. A passenger in Lang’s car, infant, Wyatt Lang was taken to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
