Interstate-70 between Columbia and Kansas City welcomes millions of travelers each year.  Many of those people pass through the central part of the Show Me State battling traffic but missing the landscape and character beyond the treeline.  Marsha Corbin with the Lafayette County Extension says there’s an effort underway to make a road trip through the rural countryside easier..

Many of those points including road side produce stands, farmers markets and wineries.  Corbin says the cooperative effort between communities allows travelers a chance to make a day of it.

While many programs fall into a small regional location, there’s a lot of benefit connecting with those in other areas..
