Tractor Trailer Crash in Cameron

Update (9:30 p.m.) – A dozen vehicles were involved in an accident on Highway 36 Thursday evening in Cameron.  Investigators said the driver of a westbound tractor-trailer lost control at Ben Griffon Road.  The semi traveled off the roadway and crashed into eleven vehicles parked in a commuter lot.  Fire officials had to extricate two people.  The accident, which occurred shortly before 6 p.m., remains under investigation.

 

Authorities are responding to a tractor-trailer accident in the Cameron area. The Highway Patrol has confirmed one lane of westbound 36 is closed.

A KMZU listener reports a tractor trailer is on its side, and has crushed vehicle parked in the commuter lot.
