Traffic on 291 & 152 Slowed by Harvest Season
On Monday morning a line of slow moving farm machinery was driven several miles on heavily traveled highways near Kansas City. Farmer Brian Strider says more than 16 pieces of large equipment was transported through Independence along Truman Road and northbound 291.
“We’re gonna go right up 291,” says Strider, ”then turn westbound across 152 to Parkville.”
The equipment is being relocated so the group can wrap up harvest of the 2012 corn crop. Anyone planning to travel the route prior to noon should expect delays.
