Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Carrollton Man

A Carrollton man was charged following a traffic stop on February 1st. According to the probable cause statement, William Ray Drew Hicks, 18, was charged with unlawful possession of an illegal weapon after an officer discovered a set of knuckles in the vehicle.

Once in custody, Hicks reportedly made verbal threats against the officer and his family. Two juveniles were also questioned and released in the incident.

Hicks was serving a six year probation sentence for possession of a controlled substance that would have expired in November of this year.  He will appear for a hearing on March 6th in a Carroll County court room.
