Traffic stop results in slew of charges in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — A woman from Boonville is accused of multiple crimes in Callaway County.

According to a Highway Patrol arrest report, 21-year-old Shawna B. Dewey was detained at 12:54 a.m. Thursday after a traffic stop.

Dewey now faces preliminary charges for driving while intoxicated on drugs, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway as well as felony possession of methamphetamine. She also faces misdemeanor counts for possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Dewey was taken to the Callaway County Jail where she was eligible to post bond on the allegations. Formal charges are currently pending.
