CARROLLTON, MO – A trial by jury was scheduled in Carroll County court Monday.

A change of venue was received by the court in April. According to a probable cause statement, Lawson Police attempted to arrest Patrick T. Smith, who resisted and ran from officers. Officers pursued Smith on foot and using a patrol car. When an officer got out of his vehicle to continue the pursuit, Smith stole the patrol vehicle.
