Troopers cite failure to yield as reason for intersection injury crash

BOONE COUNTY, MO – A vehicle collision in Boone County last night led to injuries for two drivers.

The accident occurred at the intersection of southbound 63 Highway, and New Salem Road, according to a Highway Patrol crash report. A vehicle driven by John J. Gray, 51, of California, Missouri reportedly failed to yield at the intersection, and came into the path of another vehicle. A Monett teenager, Kori Poynter, 19, was taken with Gray to University Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
