Troopers Cite Sleep Deprivation in Clay Co. Crash

Three Kearney residents were hospitalized following an accident Wednesday.  According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Juan Hernandez, 58, of Kansas City, Ks., fell asleep on the ramp from Highway 92 to I-35.  He hit Michelle Cummins, 25, and Timpthy Gomez, 36, as they were both coming to a stop at a light.  Cummins, Gomez, and a passenger, Darren Gomez, 13, were transported to Liberty Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
