A hit and run crash in Johnson County early Sunday morning claimed the lives of a pair of Green Ridge residents and left two others fighting for their lives.  The accident occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Highway 50, west of Warrensburg, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  The wreck closed the eastbound lanes of the highway for about four hours.

Investigators said Ronald Harvey, 53, was struck from behind by unknown driver.  The impact caused Harvey to lose control and overturn into a tree.  The unidentified driver did not stop and fled the scene.  Harvey and a passenger, Vickie Brandkamp, 54, were killed.  Two other passengers, Kelly Neth and Keith Roth, both 47, were seriously injured and transported to Research Medical Center and Centerpoint Hospital respectively.

No one was wearing their seat belt.
