Tuesday Court Update

A Richmond resident pleaded not guilty in a Ray County Courtroom Tuesday morning.  Erin Curtis, 32, is facing two counts each of distributing a controlled substance near schools and endangering the welfare of a child.  Curtis will next appear May 7th at 9:30.

Two people were bound over to Circuit Court in Ray County.

Nathan Beagley, 32, is facing one count of burglary and three counts of theft/stealing.  He allegedly took part in a string of burglaries in Ray County and Independence.

Steven Bonnel, 21, is accused of driving while intoxicated when he ran his vehicle into a Richmond home in February.  He has been charged with property damage, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, and driving while intoxicated.

They will both appear in a Ray County Courtroom May 1st at 9:00.

Landie England

In Livingston County, Landie England, 20, was sentenced for drug charges.  She pleaded guilty in February to Distribution of a Controlled Substance.  The judge ordered her to serve seven years in the Department of Corrections, consecutive to all other sentences.

Jeffrey Moreland

A suppression hearing has been scheduled in Cass County Court.  Jeffrey Moreland, 53, is facing two separate cases.  He is charged with forcible rape and two counts of forcible sodomy in one and murder and armed criminal action in the other case.  The Harrisonville resident is accused of the 2008 death of Cara Jo Roberts.  He will next appear at 1:30 on May 16th.
