Two Injured in Ray County Crash

An accident that occurred at about 11:20 Tuesday night in Ray County injured two Excelsior Springs residents. The Highway Patrol reports a vehicle being driven by Travis Weber, 18, of Excelsior Springs was westbound on Highway ‘Y’ at 146th when he entered into the path and was struck by a northbound vehicle being driven by Donald Garrison, 37, of Excelsior Springs. An occupant in the Weber vehicle, Cory Dennis, 22, received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Liberty Hospital.  Then at about 11:30 p.m., also on Highway ‘Y’ at 126th, a northbound vehicle being driven by Willie Foster, 53, of Excelsior Springs struck the Garrison vehicle in the rear, causing it to strike the Weber vehicle, which then struck a pedestrian standing in the roadway. That person was identified as Tammy Dennis, 42, of Excelsior Springs. She sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Liberty Hospital.
