Two Injured in Train, Truck Collision

A trash truck was struck by a train this Thursday morning in Independence, Mo. near Highway 24 and Wilson Road.

According to the initial reports two people inside the trash truck were injured. The extent of their injuries is not currently known.

The collision happened about 8:30 a.m. Thursday when the trash truck crossed the tracks in front of an Amtrak Passenger Train.
