Teens injured in crash involving semi in Ray County

RAY COUNTY, Mo. —¬†Two teenagers were hospitalized after their car collided with a tractor-trailer around 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Ray County.

The crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol indicates Lace Clark, 18, of Rayville was eastbound at Highway 10 and South Street when she pulled into the path of a southbound tractor-trailer, operated by Barry Weaver, 50, of Warrensburg.

The semi hit the left rear quarter panel of Clark’s vehicle, according to the report. Clark was flown to St. Luke’s Hospital with moderate injuries and her passenger, Maize Dykes, 15, of Richmond was transported to Liberty Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

All parties involved were reportedly wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
