A Rothville woman pleaded guilty to filing a false police report in Chariton County back in July and will appear in court Friday morning.

Rachel Koechner, 28, admitted to staging her and her child’s abduction in March. She was charged with one count of filing a false police report.  Authorities believe Koechner allegedly spent the four-days smoking synthetic drugs in a Blue Springs motel.

Koechner was sentenced to 60 days in jail and placed on a suspended sentence, which includes two years’ probation.

Koechner will be back in court Friday for a show cause hearing at 10 a.m. and a probation violation hearing following her guilty plea to passing a bad check in October.
