Unionville Missouri couple survives plane crash in Iowa

CORYDON, Ia. – A couple from Unionville, Missouri, was injured when their plane crashed in southeast Iowa Sunday afternoon.

The single engine plane went down after take off from Corydon, Iowa, airport around 3:30 in the afternoon. The pilot, Craig Comstock and his wife, Mary Comstock each suffered serious injuries when the plane crashed into some trees near the airport. After Mary Comstock was released from Mercy Medical Center Tuesday, she told investigators, the plane’s engine wasn’t running right.

Craig Comstock remains in intensive care at the Medical Center.
