UPDATE — Multi-vehicle pileup on I-35 in Daviess County

UPDATE: (02/23/18, 12:50 a.m.) – A Florida driver received minor injuries when his semi jackknifed and slid off the road in Davies County Thursday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to northbound Interstate 35, 9 miles northeast of Cameron, around 7:20 yesterday morning. The tractor trailer driven by Daymel Hernandez-Perez, 23, of Miami, slid on the icy roadway, jackknifed and went off the East side of the interstate. Hernandez-Perez was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment. Several other tractor trailers slid out of control behind this crash, blocking the northbound lanes of the interstate.

DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. — KMZU News has confirmed reports of a crash on I-35 in Daviess County.

A spokesperson for the Highway Patrol said multiple semi trucks have crashed on Interstate 35 at the 63 mile marker, just north of the exit for Winston. The northbound lanes of the roadway were blocked and traffic is being diverted.

It was not immediately clear if anyone involved in the crash was injured.

Drivers in the area are encouraged to exercise caution. Delays are possible.
