UPDATE–Structure fire in Higginsville causes extensive damage

(UPDATE: 04/19/17 12:39 p.m.)- A reported structure fire in Higginsville last night was deemed a complete loss. 

There were no occupants involved at the time of the fire. Reports indicate the structure was used for storing farm machinery which included a combine, a semi, and various other items.

KMZU has not received official reports on the extent of the fire and/or the cost of damages.


HIGGINSVILLE, Mo.- According to reports, a structure is engulfed in flames on Ardinger Road in Higginsville, Mo.

Reports indicate multiple explosions have been heard as emergency fire crews work to extinguish the blaze. Multiple fire departments are reportedly on scene.

Extent of the blaze and occupants involved are unknown at this time. This story is developing and KMZU will continue to update information as it becomes available.
