Valuable Bell Taken from Lexington Church

The Lexington Police Department has reported the theft of a 500 pound historic bronze bell from the African Methodist Episcopal Church on Lafayette Street.  According to the report, the bell went missing earlier this week and is valued at approximately $3,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.  The historic society is offering a cash reward for information leading to the return of the bell.
