Vandalism Put a Damper on Summer Fun

Information has been released in reference to the vandalism that shut down the Carrollton City pool for a short time last week.

Once on the scene Thursday, Carrollton Police found several pieces of furniture had been thrown in the pool, substantial damage was done to the concessions building. Officers report damage also included a number of power cables being cut, offensive graffiti and several snack had been stolen.

It is believed the suspects entered through an unsecured opening to the building. Damage is estimated at $800. Anyone with information in reference to this crime is urged to contact Officer Andrew Worrall at the Carrollton Police Department at 660-542-3128.
