“We’ll be having a program to honor all of our veterans followed by a free will donation chili and soup luncheon,” said Fones,” We will also have a balloon release and we invite all veterans and their families to attend.”

Fones says it’s a time to recognize those who have served the country.  “We realize it’s the first day of deer season, but we need to take pause and honor those who have made sacrifices in their own lives so that we may enjoy the freedom to gather in their honor,” said Fones,” In the past several years, we have asked our veterans to bring military photos to share with others and we will have a place to display them.”

The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
