Warrensburg burglary investigations yield two arrests

WARRENSBURG, MO – Arrests were made in connection with several burglaries under investigation in Warrensburg.

Police, in a statement Thursday, said they were tracking a suspect this morning from a suspected burglary at the parks and recreation building, following a suspect vehicle to Broad Street. A suspect was later identified as Jason Vacek, 42. After searching down Broad, and evacuating several apartments, he was taken into custody. Detectives say, he later confessed to the burglary of the parks and rec property, as well as several downtown burglaries under investigation. A second person of interest, Nicole Stansberry, 34, was also arrested in his apartment. Property is being returned to owners.
