Update (10:00 a.m.) – Sergeant Sheldon Lyon with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said they arrested a subject without incident at a home in Dawn on Tuesday morning. The individual was wanted on a felony and a pair of misdemeanor charges. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade talk with Lyon:
“We were acting at the request of the St. Joseph Police Department,” Lyon said. “We were asked to arrest a subject who had a felony warrant, which is a serious offense. ” Additional media inquiries have been referred to the St. Joseph agency. We are working to get more information from them.
Original story – The Missouri State Highway Patrol is responding to an incident at a home about one mile east of Dawn. A KMZU listener said approximately ten patrolmen have their assault weapons drawn on a residential building in that area. A spokesperson for the Highway Patrol could neither confirm nor deny the report. He said they might have more information this afternoon. Residents should avoid the area.
