Weekend Trap Shoot Will Benefit Sweet Springs Area

TheĀ  last shoot for October in the 2nd Annual Turkey Trap Shoot will be this weekend in Sweet Springs. Francis Vaught, Secretary of Barbee Lodge #217, the sponsor, says it was short notice to get things up and running back in 2011.

Vaught shared what participants need and what the prizes are.

Vaught says the Barbee Lodge will use the funds generated to benefit the Sweet Springs Community through programs like Child ID.

Future events like these are being planned. The Trap Shoot starts at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon near the ball field, just south of Sweet Springs Park.
